Namakuzu heads the firm’s Energy, Resources and Infrastructure Department and specializes in the mining, real estate, and construction sectors and plays a central role in Corpus’ large portfolio of mining matters. She advises local and international clients on mining and energy law projects, conveyances, lease agreements, construction and infrastructure contracts, agreements and registering of securities for financing in the real estate sector.
Namakuzu has 18 years’ experience and with significant experience pertaining to the construction, operation, and financing of projects in the renewables sector over the past few years, having advised on Zambia’s pioneering solar and wind projects. She has also led deal teams advising clients on their operations in Zambia, including licensing, mining, rights, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions among others.
Namakuzu holds an LLB from the University of Zambia and is an Advocate of the Superior Courts of Zambia, and a member of the International Bar Association and Law Association of Zambia. She is recognized as a ‘Rising Star’ with respect to Energy & Infrastructure, Mergers and Acquisitions by the IFLR1000.
