Lubena Give Nalwimba – Associate

Professional Experience

Lubena is an Associate in the Energy, Resources and Infrastructure Department where she works on various aspects of laws and regulations that govern energy resources and land matters within the jurisdiction.

Lubena has experience in ensuring that legal entities within and out of Jurisdiction are legally compliant and has achieved this by rendering legal opinions and facilitating the completion of compliance tasks with various regulatory bodies in Zambia. She has worked with local and international clients on conveyances, lease agreements, construction and infrastructure contracts and agreements and on mining and energy law projects.

Lubena earned her LLB from the University of Lusaka and is an Advocate of the High Court of Zambia and a member of the Law Association of Zambia.

Lubena’s most notable work includes working on the Women, Business and the Law 2023 – The World Bank Group, which required identifying legal barriers to women’s economic empowerment and the Clean Energy Tool Project-Zambia spearheaded by Simmons and Simmons LLP which required extensive knowledge regarding various aspects including structuring & finance in Zambia.
