Industrial Development Corporation of Zambia Limited: Advisor the Industrial Development Corporation of Zambia Limited (“IDC”), the Zambian government holding company for all parastatals, on its 90 percent stake acquisition in an oil palm plantation business, Zampalm Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Zambeef Products Plc, a fully integrated cold chain food processing and retailing group with operations in Zambia, Nigeria and Ghana, for a cash consideration of USD16 million and an extra USD2 million depending on manufacturing milestones over the subsequent 5 years.

 

Industrial Development Corporation of Zambia Limited: Advisor to the Industrial Development Corporation of Zambia Limited (“IDC”), the Zambian government holding company for all parastatals, on its acquisition of 76 per cent of shares in Superior Milling Company Limited, a local company engaged in production of mealie meal, grit and a range of other food products for the local and foreign market.

 

Copperbelt Energy Corporation PLC: Acted as sole legal advisor to CEC Plc in the demerger of its Pan African Mauritian subsidiary, CEC Africa Investments which holds assets in Nigeria and Sierra Leone, through the distribution by CEC Plc, of all its CEC Africa shares to the existing CEC Plc shareholders by way of a dividend in specie.

 

General Cable Corporation (seller) and Reunert Limited (offeror): Advisor on the USD 9 million disposal of General Cable Corporation’s majority stake in Metal Fabricators of Zambia PLC (ZAMEFA) listed on the Lusaka Stock Exchange, by General Cable and subsequently, the mandatory offer for the purchase of shares held by ZAMEFA’s minority shareholders by Reunert.

 

Exeo Fund Advisors (Pty) Ltd: Advisor to Exeo Fund Advisors (Pty) Ltd, and Agri-Vie Investment Advisors (Pty) Limited, a USD175 million private equity fund focused on mid-market growth investments in the food and agribusiness sector of Sub-Saharan Africa, on 49 percent stake acquisition in Capital Fisheries and Capital Trucking Limited, companies in the business of importing and transporting Tilapia fish for retail in Zambia.
