Lillian Chalwe – Lawyer

Personal Experience

Lillian is a Lawyer in the Energy, Resources, and Infrastructure Department of the firm where she works on various aspects of laws and regulations that govern energy resources and land matters within the jurisdiction.

She has experience in ensuring legal entities within and out of Jurisdiction are legally compliant and has achieved this by rendering legal opinions and facilitating the completion of compliance tasks with various regulatory bodies in Zambia. Lillian has worked with both local and international clients on conveyances, lease agreements, construction and infrastructure contracts and agreements and on mining and energy law projects.

Lillian earned her LLB from the University of Lusaka.

One of Lillian’s most notable work includes working on the Clean Energy Tool Project-Zambia spearheaded by Simmons and Simmons LLP which required extensive knowledge regarding various aspects including off grid, mini grid, hydrogen and regulation of the energy sector as well as a wide review of the land sector in Zambia.
