Professional Experience

Martha Siwale Namwila- Mwala is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution and Public Policy Department of the firm with 8 years’ experience. Her practice spans a broad range of eminent commercial disputes, investigations and contentious regulatory matters, often involving telecommunication companies, mines, financial institutions and other large corporates.

Martha has demonstrated experience advising clients at all stages of a dispute, from how to avoid potential challenges when structuring and implementing a transaction through to eventual proceedings.

She also focuses on commercial litigation, employment, arbitrations and ADR. Further, she also advises on legal issues arising from the conclusion and execution of commercial contracts. Her experience extends to defending clients in employment, anti-competitive conduct investigations and legal actions by the the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) including cases before the Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal.

Martha holds an LLB from the University of Zambia, is an Advocate of the Superior Courts of Zambia and a member of the Law Association of Zambia. She is also an Arbitrator and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
